Ukraine works to remain focused on economic turnaround

Ukraine is slowly climbing out of recession, but there are bumps in the road.

Ukraine has been at the center of the impeachment inquiry in the United States. But Ukraine is climbing out of a deep recession, and one of the government’s biggest tasks is trying to improve the economy. The country is suffering from brain drain as Ukrainians seek higher paying jobs abroad. A lack of foreign investors, often wary of the country’s corrupt reputation, has also inhibited economic growth.
