The Vermont quarry that provides most of Arlington National Cemetery’s headstones

For some in the quarry that provides the headstones, the work is personal.

For almost two decades most of Arlington National Cemetery’s row after row of gleaming, standing white marble headstones have come from one Vermont quarry.  Granite Industries, the company that makes the iconic markers estimates that it’s provided roughly 130,000 headstones for Arlington National Cemetery.
