With the GOP scrambling to pay for its tax plan, it’s not just going after the big pots of money — like deductions for state and local taxes, or mortgage interest. It’s looking to slash deductions that affect smaller groups, too. Like grad students, who take advantage of certain tax breaks to offset the cost of their sometimes epic education.
