End of seasonal job? In a tight hiring market, you might get a full-time gig

It’s been a crazy couple of months in the present buying-and-sending sector. Companies like UPS, Target and Amazon hired hundreds of thousands of seasonal workers to help them handle all that holiday shopping.

Now for those workers, it’s time for the inevitable holiday layoff period. Thing is, those layoffs might not be so inevitable after all. Several large companies say they’re planning to keep a lot of their seasonal workers on staff.
