IBM CEO pushes new educational model prior to Trump meeting
Welcome the six-year high school.

President-elect Donald Trump meets today with tech leaders. Ginni Rometty, the president and CEO of IBM, is expected to be there. One likely topic for discussion? Tech jobs. Rometty has already put forward a job creation plan of sorts, coining the term “new-collar jobs” for work that doesn’t necessarily require a four-year degree. Rometty said IBM has designed a new educational model involving six-year high schools, where graduates receive both high school and two-year community college degrees.
