How worried are we about identity theft? Well, a fair amount, judging by a new acquisition that’s been announced.
Cyber security giant Symantec is buying Lifelock — an ID protection company — for $2.3 billion. Among other things, Symantec makes anti-virus software which has been traditionally been bundled with PCs.
As that market declines, the company has needed to look elsewhere for growth — which is where Lifelock comes in.
