Bannon and Trump: Cromwell and King Henry VIII

If you'll indulge us, it's time for a quick history lesson.

Pay close attention to one Hollywood Reporter article concerning Steve Bannon, the incoming chief strategist and senior counselor to President-elect Trump.

It’s a really interesting piece, as I discussed with Felix and Linette on The Weekly Wrap — but the real kicker is this actual quote from Mr. Bannon.

When asked about his role in the Trump administration, he compared himself to “Thomas Cromwell in the court of the Tudors,” referring there to King Henry VIII and his senior counselor.

Fan of history that I am, I’m obliged to note that things ended really, really badly for Cromwell.
