Janet Yellen is not quitting anytime soon

The president-elect has accused her of being corrupt without providing any evidence, but she's planning to serve out her term.

A reminder: President-elect Donald Trump has, on multiple occasions throughout his campaign, accused the sitting chair of the Federal Reserve of playing politics with interest rates to help Hillary Clinton get elected, and make President Barack Obama look good.

At a congressional hearing today, Yellen was asked if she plans to resign in light of the recent election.

Her response was an unwavering “no, I cannot” — a live blog from MarketWatch reported Yellen’s firm intent to fully serve out her term until 2018. Plus, she confirmed that a hike in federal interest rates is, indeed, on it’s way soon.
