According to Bloomberg,  Ice cream has had an outstanding 2016.

It went experimental: One LA flavor — Hawaiian Pizza  — featured spam and pineapple.

It got a pop-up ice cream museum in Manhattan. Both presidential candidates got custom sundae creations.

And Ben of Ben and Jerry’s made a political and economic statement with a new flavor in honor of Bernie Sanders.

Each pint of “Bernie’s Yearning” features a thin disk of chocolate at the very top to represent “the majority of gains that have gone to the top one percent since the end of the recession.”
