Medicare costs rise as doctors perform more tests in office
Medicare has spent millions on tests and services some say are questionable.
A small number of doctors are making a bundle off of medical tests and procedures that they’re able to perform in their offices instead of outsourcing to specialists, according to a recent Wall Street Journal analysis of Medicare data.
But are all of these tests and procedures really necessary?
