A Syrian refugee family confronts its future

They made it through the resettlement process. Now they must create new lives.

A little while back, we did a story about the process of refugee resettlement in the United States. It determines how one refugee winds up in, say, Phoenix, and another in Minneapolis. Out of that reporting, we began following a group of Syrian refugees assigned to a New Haven, Connecticut nonprofit. The group is trying to do something a bit different: get the community involved. In the final installment of our series, we look at the challenges faced by Ali and Fatima as they begin to adjust to a new life.
