Think you can’t help Syrian refugees? Look at these folks

More relief agencies are turning to local community groups for help with refugees

A little while back, we did a story about the process of refugee resettlement in the United States. It determines how one refugee winds up in, say, Phoenix, and another in Minneapolis. Out of that reporting, we began following a group of Syrian refugees assigned to a New Haven, Connecticut nonprofit. The group is trying to do something a bit different: get the community involved.
