Dozens of tour operators fight for tourist dollars.

Peak star-gazing season is about to get underway in Hollywood. Tourists descend on Los Angeles over the summer and with them come a seemingly endless parade of tour buses that choke Rodeo Drive, Sunset Boulevard and the Hollywood Hills.
Visitors will spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on tickets for those tours, hoping for a brush with Hollywood fame, lore, scandal and death.
Marketplace’s Adriene Hill starts on board the bus of Dearly Departed Tours, one of the best reviewed tour operators, to take a look at the highly competitive, and sometimes unscrupulous, star tour industry.
