Cracker Jack prizes are now a thing of the past

They will be replaced with QR codes for mobile games

Pepsi/Frito-Lay

I am honestly appalled:

Cracker Jack has been putting toy prizes in its boxes of caramel coated goodness for 125 years.

But not anymore.

Frito-Lay, the purveyor of said goodness, is going to replace the toy with stickers containing digital codes that’ll get customers into baseball inspired games they can play on their phones.

I get progress and everything, and I love my phone, but this is a step too far.
