Clothing startups are bringing some jobs back home

CEOs of high-tech garment companies want to build a future using U.S. factories.

Voters are hearing all about it on the campaign trail: the U.S. has seen 30 percent of its manufacturing jobs travel overseas in the last two decades. But, one unexpected corner of the manufacturing industry is actually bringing jobs to the country — clothing. Companies making high-quality, high-tech garments are setting up shop in US cities, and not for the reasons you might expect.
