Karaoke with co-workers doesn’t have to be embarrassing
When done properly, karaoke is one of the best ways to bond with your officemates.

Singing karaoke might be more frightening than talking to your boss.
So just imagine doing karaoke in front of your boss.
For many, getting on a stage surrounded by your officemates and selecting a song you only sing in the shower feels like you’re putting too much of yourself out there.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
We spoke with Sam Grobart about his Bloomberg Businessweek article that lays out the hard-and-fast rules of how to karaoke with your co-workers and not be embarrassed the next day.
Here are a few tips about making sure you strike all the right chords:
Karaoke is best done after all co-workers have had a couple of drinks to lower their inhibitions.
Remember that karaoke is a team-building exercise. The best songs are sing-a-longs.
Pick a crowd-pleaser song like “We Built This City” by Starship, or just anything by Starship.
