That’s how much shares in Japan Post rose in trading on Wednesday. That’s following the world’s largest IPO this year, in which Japan spun off its postal service into a privatized company. As CNN Money writes, resistance to the plan came from public concern that mail service was diminishing as a result of the popularity of email.

That’s how much the Dungeness crab industry in California took in last year. It’s about to be crabbing season again, and fisherman are worried that a rise in acid levels caused by a large algae bloom will make most of this year’s bounty unsellable.

According to a new analysis by the Wall Street Journal, almost half the graduates of top liberal arts colleges make less than that amount per year — 10 years from graduation. But as the report notes, the study doesn’t account for what fields graduates go into. Careers in civil service, for example, tend to make less money in general.

That’s how many viewers regularly tune in to watch Philippe Verdier, France’s top TV weatherman, on the state-owned broadcaster France 2. But since the publication of Verdier’s book, “Climate Investigation,” he has been taken off the airwaves, and may be fired. The reason? In the book, he claims that climate change has been exaggerated by climatologists and politicians. Among other things, he also makes the argument that a warming climate would be good for French beaches, as tourists would appreciate the weather.
