A Burlington, Vt. quiz! Hint: the coat factory isn’t from here
American Futures flies into Burlington, Vt., this week. How much do you know about this American town?
We’ve been working on a series with The Atlantic’s James Fallows and the software company ESRI, and we’re calling it American Futures. In the reports, we’ll explore how small towns around the U.S. are living and working in a new economy. So far, Fallows has flown his small plane to Holland, Mich., and taken Marketplace’s Kai Ryssdal to Sioux Falls, S.D., where they visited a few businesses in the area, including a local food factory that produces egg sandwiches you could pick up at a hotel anywhere in the U.S.

Next up, Fallows will be landing in Burlington, Vt., the largest city in the state — and home, famously, of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream.
