For 150 years — since the earliest days of telegrams and teletypes — the official Navy communications system only allowed FOR ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, WHICH, YOU KNOW, MAKES PEOPLE FEEL LIKE THEY’RE BEING YELLED AT.

THEY’RE ROLLING OUT A NEW SYSTEM ACCEPTING WHAT THE WORLD ALREADY KNOWS. THAT ALL CAPS ARE JUST REALLY ANNOYING.

THE BEST PART? THE OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT WAS IN ALL CAPS.
