U.S. government secret surveillance practices, unveiled last week by The Guardian and the Washington Post, has sparked vehement debate about personal data, tech companies and privacy. But the news itself, ferreted out by journalists, may never have seen the light of day if it weren’t for leaked documents. Is it getting harder for those leaks to happen?
