JPMorgan Chase’s Jamie Dimon to testify before Senate

The CEO of JPMorgan Chase will have to explain the $2 billion loss from a few weeks ago.

This final note on the way out: Tomorrow’s news today, if you will.

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon’s gonna take a turn at the long green witness table in front of the Senate Banking Committee in the morning, trying to explain that $2 billion loss from a couple of weeks ago. (Our New York Bureau Chief Heidi N. Moore got ahold of the full transcript of that testimony over in her Easy Street column if you want a preview.)

The committee’s title for the hearing gives you some clue as to how it’s gonna go: A Breakdown in Risk Management, it’s called, What Went Wrong at JPMorgan Chase?

Dimon said today, by the way, he expects to be solidly profitable this quarter.
