Used car dealers are resorting to drastic measures to fill the demand U.S. consumers have for used cars these days.

In the world of new cars, GM took over the top spot in the world today.

But more and more people aren’t going that route.

The average age of a car is actually at an all-time high, and the sale of used models is going strong.

So strong, in fact, that the high demand for gently used vehicles is really putting a strain on the people that sell them — so much so that they are now “mining” for used cars.

In today’s Mid-day Extra we look at how you “mine” for vehicles.
