Kai Ryssdal: Earlier this week, we sent Nancy Marshall-Genzer out to one of the last places in the country where the Occupy movement is still actually occupying anything: Washington D.C. One of the things they’re talking about there is money, whether taking donations inevitably leads to capitalist corruption. Money is the root of all evil, one protester said.

Patrick Price wrote from Atlanta with a correction.

Patrick Price: I was struck by what one of the protesters stated about the old adage, ‘money is the root of all evil.’ That is false. The old adage is ‘the love of money is the root of all evil.’ When taken in this new correct light, receiving monetary donations to support Occupy Wall Street is not hypocritical, it’s just a realization that food and shelter is not all you need in today’s world.

We did manufacturing on Tuesday. Sarah Alvarez took a trip back in industrial time with the late Mr. Rogers.

Lisa Hamilton: I had the privilege and the fun of working in “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” 1986-1991, and one of the first things I learned was difference between “how people make something” and “how things are made.” Fred was devoted to helping small children understand the import of people and our capacity to create. I was fortunate indeed to work for a man as wise as Fred Rogers.
