The New York Times: All the emails unfit to send
Big time whoopsie
How was YOUR day at work yesterday? Get everything done? Forget to return an email? Make a mistake somewhere along the line? Well, don’t worry because some doofus at the New York Times screwed up a lot worse than you did. Said doofus (or possibly doofi) who had intended to send an email to some 300 former subscribers accidentally sent it to over 8 million people in the Times database. It was interesting how it played out. The email went out, people started reacting online, the Times said that it was some sort of trick or hack, then after things got sorted out, the grey lady confessed that it was a huge whoopsie. You can look for secret ulterior motives or nefarious plots but sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, Dr. Freud.
