Never mind that Avatar came out two years ago, or that every Blu-ray player and flat screen TV purchased this year seemed to come with a free copy of the movie. A new release of the movie comes with special iTunes-only content that lets you dig deep into the special effects of scenes. I don’t quite get it, but it has something to do with unlocking different levels of the special effects, until you’re left with actors in front of a green screen. You’re going to have to be really into Avatar to buy this, or maybe really into high-budget, special effects movie making. Here’s to hoping those green screen clips are creatively combined with other movies and make their way to YouTube. Personally, I’m looking forward to the Avatar News Bears. Buttermaker!
