In response to growing concerns over children being exposed to sexually explicit material, British Prime Minister, David Cameron will unveil a new website called ParentPort today. The site is designed for parents to register complaints about “inappropriate” material being displayed in public (from videos and TV shows to billboards and clothing stores). Additionally, Cameron will announce a new anti-porn option being offered by four of the UK’s biggest Internet service providers. As the Guardian reports, upon signing up for service, customers “will have to ‘opt-in’ if they want to view sexually explicit websites, as part of government-sponsored curbs on online pornography.” No word on what privacy experts think about these impending policies but one assumes the policies won’t go over all that huge.
