The closing of Borders last month left a big segment of the market open, a segment the the giant bookseller Barnes & Noble hopes to fill.
As part of a measure to expand its horizons, B & N bought a list of Borders’ customers names in a bankruptcy court last week.
According to a letter posted by CEO William Lynch, the company now owns a list of Borders’ customers names, in addition to Borders’ brand trademarks.
Customers can opt out of the company receiving their data by visiting the Barnes & Noble website before October 29.
