The big month jobs report from the Labor Department comes out Friday, but earlier reports are already showing a mixed bag for employment in August. Maybe we just need more engineers? And oil giant BP has its own problems — from losing out a big deal to search for crude in the Arctic, to getting their Moscow offices raided by Russian officials.
