We check in with author Barbara Ehrenreich who reviews her book “Nickel and Dimed” 10 years later in a radically different economic environment. More and more Americans are downsizing in this economy. We talk to some folks who’ve done it and are enjoying it. A behavioral scientist also gives advice on how to downsize successfully and without feeling deprived (it sounds similar to dieting advice). Many parents are sending their kids off to college right now — did you remember to have the money talk with them? We learn some tips on how to set your freshman up for smart spending. Ireland’s learning some financial lessons too; unfortunately, they aren’t enjoying the crash course too much. Two young entrepreneurs talk about how their lemonade stand is weathering the recession.
