A final note. The price of gold’s been slipping for several days now, but that doesn’t mean it’s lost its allure.

Police are investigating an armed robbery with a twist at a jewelry store in Denver yesterday. A pair of suspects dressed as clowns apparently thought they were cleaning the place out of its precious metals and gems. But since prices have skyrocketed lately, it seems what customers get to see in many jewelry stores is actually a cheap sample — an imitation of what you can order.
