Skype just announced an app for Apple devices that lets you log on to Wi-Fi networks and pay for only the minutes you use. This is helpful in places like hotels, where you sometimes pay a huge, daily fee to log on, or when you’re abroad and want to avoid roaming fees.

Remember when you’d travel and just look at stuff? Maybe write postcards to someone if you had something to say? Take a picture?
