The next time somebody tells you Washington’s out of touch, that they just don’t get it, you go right ahead and believe ’em. A Gallup poll out today says Washington D.C. is — far and away — the most economically confident area in the country. Gallup offers something it calls the Economic Confidence Index. National average first half of the year was -28. Washington clocked in with a +11.
