Wall Street responds to some mixed economic data, including an encouraging employment report but also high layoff numbers. The specter of another recession looms as corporations sit on a lot of cash, leaving the economy in limbo. And hackers from a single organization have stolen confidential information from 70 sources over the last five years — the biggest spate of cyber attacks in history, according to McAfee. Who could be behind it? Egypt’s trial of ousted president Hosni Mubarak may become a drag on its economy as people stop going to work. Hot, stagnant weather results in more air quality alerts.
