Well, they say they are. And why shouldn’t we take a band of devious illegal hackers at their word? LulzSec posted a bunch of files purloined from AOL and AT&T on Saturday and then announced that they were hanging it up. Going out on top or something. “Our planned 50 day cruise has expired, and we must now sail into the distance, leaving behind — we hope — inspiration, fear, denial, happiness, approval, disapproval, mockery, embarrassment, thoughtfulness, jealousy, hate, even love,” the group said on its website. This might have something to do with the arrests that have started to happen to alleged group members. It was just last week that LulzSec announced a much more ambitious campaign directed at all governments, banks, and corporations. Somehow society is still functioning.

This from our producer/engineer Marc Sanchez:

Reminds me of the legend of a 1979 Sex Pistols show at the Lesser Free Trade Hall. The place holds about 150 people, and it’s said that everyone in the room went on to start a band. LulzSecsPistols!
