The Los Angeles Times is one of several outlets reporting that at least three states – Ohio, New York, and California – are looking into anti-trust complaints against the search company. The investigations are reportedly in the early stages but they’re said to be focused on Google’s dominance of the search market. Google has something like a 65% share of it here in the United States, a number that’s much higher in many other countries, many of whom have been grumbling for some time about the power of Google. Meanwhile, the Federal Trade Commission is also said to be about to serve Google a subpoena to testify as part of a similar organization. So this is all lights on the horizon at this point but keep an eye on it. Them. The lights. Which are Google.
