WHAT? How could there be a correlation?! Why it boggles the–
Okay, seriously. Extensive tests were done where a group of adolescent males were monitored while playing video games and also during a control activity of just sitting around sans screen. They found that while caloric consumption went up during game play, it wasn’t matched by a commensurate rise in the chemicals that lead to appetite and hunger. In other words, dudes were just eating stuff to eat stuff. The researchers also found that while the boys were expending more energy playing games than just sitting around, the caloric intake during game play was four times that of resting time.
The findings will be published in the next issue of Duh Magazine. The study was founded by the Completely Unnecessary Studies Foundation.
