Apparently, the New York Times has started reading the same stories we have about the various ways to get around the paywall barriers on the site. Even though their official paywall doesn’t go up in the US until 3/28, workarounds ranging from a Twitter feed that tweets links to every story to a little browser bookmark that lets you read everything for free have already been circulated. Now the Times has asked Twitter to yank the feed of @FreeNYTimes saying it’s a violation of trademark (you wonder what would happen if that feed was called something else). As for the NYT Clean book mark, the Times isn’t commenting.
