That’s what Nigerian internet entrepreneur Oo Nwoye is saying in a recent blog post. She says the people trying to pull those email scams are not necessarily crooked, there’s just nothing much going on in Nigeria in terms of entrepreneurship or a real web community. And that’s a shame, she says, because these guys are obviously enterprising and they know the internet. So she’s starting an organization called Nigerian Internet Entrepreneurs to encourage education and development and encourage all the fake princes to go legit. I can’t help wondering how an organization like that goes about raising money without making people think at least twice.
