Our hot tub cover reached temperatures of 172 degrees this summer. It sits less than 15 feet from our air conditioner compressor. I strung an ultra-violet resistant camping tarp over it reducing the cover’s temp by 50 degrees and therefore the ambient temperature of the air passing over the compressors heat exchanger.
