The messenger app Kik has only been public for 18 days but it’s become insanely popular, already well above 1.5 million users. It’s free, fast as anything, and works across different mobile phone platforms. Everyone loves it. But Tech Crunch points out that Kik may be in violation of Apple’s terms of service because it imports all your contact information automatically. So does Apple crack down, force revisions, or even kick Kik out of the iPhone app store? Or does it remain and break up the market dominance of BlackBerry’s very popular messenger app, one of the few remaining bright spots for the fading star that is BlackBerry?
