On today’s show we debuted a new series called Economy 4.0 that’ll look at the global economy from this point on. Former Marketplace host David Brancaccio returned to kick it all off with a story on the new banking reform being worked on in Switzerland named Basel Three. We continued to look at how the health care reform is affecting insurers and companies, in particularly today with McDonald’s, which might have to drop coverage for its employees. The highly controversial TARP ends this Sunday, which means many workers may lose their jobs without the stimulus money. Jeremy Hobson also reports on TARP’s journey, and its political aspects. Politicians, meanwhile, are taking a liking to Twitter, although the social networking would rather not get involved. And here were our songs:
