There were a couple stories about machines in today’s show: GMAC Mortgage Co. had to stop foreclosures in 23 states this week because documents signed by a “robo signer” are being challenged, and Ohio’s Mason High School just installed a very popular carrot-only vending machine. Old-school fossil fuel operations are still getting more tax breaks than renewable energy efforts, and some believe these petroleum subsidies need to end. The Village Voice in New York City is coming under pressure to end its adult services website. A new study measures the costs of obesity, in terms of productivity and gender.
