This week I’d like to focus on a song that I really love, for the way it sounds but also the story behind the artist, “Keep on Looking” by Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. Jones got her start like many soul singers, singing in a gospel choir. What’s really interesting about her is that while she began her music career at an early age, she started to see success when she was older, a time that many others might have given up.

Another interesting note, supposedly the band refuses to use digital equipment in lieu of older, analog recording devices that few people use anymore.
