And this final (musical) note . . .
ABBA remains one of the best-selling bands of all time, more than 25 years after their breakup. Today, organizers announced plans to build a museum in Stockholm dedicated to the Swedish super-pop group.
It should open by 2008.
ABBA’s sold more than 370 million albums to date and still manages to sell 3 million a year.
The city of Stockholm’s betting the museum will draw a few of those fans, perhaps as many as 500,000 a year.
Band members plan to donate the exhibits, but they won’t be involved with the museum. Corporate sponsors will foot the bill.
The museum is going to have one special feature: a studio where fans can record their own version of ABBA hits.
So in that spirit, here’s our Marketplace choral tribute to ABBA.

Ah well, the cover is seldom as good as the original.
