Joined Southwest in 1986, first as Controller, then Chief Financial Officer. Promoted to CEO in 2004.

What he did before: Auditor and mainframe computer software development

First paying job: Carpenter’s apprentice

Education: B.A. in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin; Certified Public Accountant.

What you may not know: Kelly is a big guitar fan and tries to play every day. His favorite guitar? A Collings Dreadnought.
