Renata Sago covers the economics of eating — and drinking — for Marketplace. Her stories explore the food and beverage industry: new trends, health, safety, disruption and economic performance.

Renata's work has appeared in the New York Times, on NPR, the BBC and Voice of America on topics such as mass migration, presidential politics, youth incarceration and dance. Her reporting has also been cited on the floor of the Florida Supreme Court and received three consecutive awards from the Associated Press Broadcasters Association in Iowa and Florida.

She received her bachelor's degree in international relations from Brown University and a master's in political science from Université des Antilles et de la Guyane in Guadeloupe.

She is a proud Chicago native.
