About half of American workers say they’ve cried at work. Maybe you’re one of them. That’s OK! 

There’s a lot of advice out there about how to avoid crying at work or how to save face afterward. But there are plenty of other folks who will tell you it’s time to do away with old notions of “professionalism” and cry at your desk with reckless abandon.

So what happens when our jobs, the thing society tells us to place above everything else, is also the thing that’s breaking us down? This week’s episode is about crying at work and all the baggage that comes with it.

We hear from journalist Chiquita Paschal about how, as a woman of color, she’s felt forced to hide her emotions in a newsroom that did not support her. Plus, Reema revisits the first time she cried at work.
