What’s next for the FTC’s new task force on tech?

The Federal Trade Commission just announced it’s creating a new task force, within the agency, to monitor competition in the tech world. The agency says it’s building a team that will investigate anti-competitive conduct and take enforcement action when needed. Proponents say the task force will bring the agency needed expertise when looking into the tech sector. Critics say the task force is unnecessary, and that the FTC already has broad regulatory powers.
