Office communication services company Slack has applied with the SEC to list shares publicly. Slack is now a step closer to a high-profile IPO. The company did not say how many shares it wants to sell, or at what price. Slack is the most talked-about app of its kind, but is up against heavy hitters like  Microsoft, Google, and Cisco.
